SWG Profiles

Introduction

One of the key tasks assigned to the SWG has been the compilation of existing information describing the fisheries in the proposed area for the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation.

At the first SWG meeting a method for achieving this was developed. The method includes incorporating information from various sources into a standard template. The target species profile along with relevant associated and dependent species profiles and habitat profiles comprehensively describe the fisheries in the proposed area. 

Profile templates

At its various meetings the SWG has developed profile templates for fished species, associated and dependent species and habitats.

A range of species profiles have been developed and continue to be refined.

Associated and dependent species profiles

A range of associated and dependent species profiles have been developed and continue to be refined.

Habitat  profiles

A range of habitat profiles have been developed and continue to be refined.
