On 28 August 2007, the Chair of the Consultations announced the appointment of the Executive Secretary of the SPRFMO Interim Secretariat, Dr Robin Allen. The appointment was made according to agreed procedures which all participants were invited to be involved in, and overseen by the Chair of the Consultations. Dr Allen will commence as Executive Secretary based in Wellington, New Zealand in late October.
