8th International Meeting
The eighth meetingof the International Consultations on the establishment of the South Pacific RFMO was held from 8-14 November 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Auckland, New Zealand, concluding the International Consultations.
The Convention on the Conservation and management of High Seas Fishery Resources in the South Pacific Ocean was adopted on 14 November 2009.
Chile made a declaration concerning the revised interim measures for pelagic fishing and Vanuatu reserved its position concerning its gross tonnage in the fishery in 2010 and indicated that it would not be bound by the Interim Measures.
